If you didn't know there are some people that you can say "Hey! Did you see Pokemon today?" and the person they are talking to would give them some sort of strange, confused look and say "What are you talking about?" Well, for those of you who ask that question,you came to the right place! I can tell you exactly what Pokemon are. "Pokemon" is short for Pocket Monsters. And the people at Nintendo in the U.S. and Japan were nice enough to shorten Pocket Monsters into Pokemon. How would you actually like to talk about Pokemon and every time instead of saying that, you had to say Pocket Monsters.You should be thanking Mr. Miyamoto for this. Anyways, back to the topic. In Pokemon, you play as a boy as in the show named Ash or you can give him his own name. Ash is only 10 years old and has just gotten his Pokemon Trainers Liscense. In the show he wakes up late to get his pokemon from Proffesor Oak and has no choice but to choose a not very willing Pikachu. In the game though you can only choose from Charmander, Bulbasaur, and Squirtle.To the left of this is a picture of Ash and his Pikachu. Pikachu is pokemon #25 out of 150. But if you know the cheats there can be up to 156 or something like that. You can see some cheats for the game in my cheats section.
